Keeper of the faith

The thoughts, worries and general ramblings of the dad (and coach) of a grassroots football goalkeeper.

Home
– Moving on up
– An evening to forget
– More of the same?
– Double header
– From lad to dad to coach
– Confidence is everything
– How much is too much? (or too little)
– Playing the long game (not literally)
– Times have changed
– Getting kitted out
– Make a ‘things to do’ list
– History repeating itself, or just improving itself?
– The other side
– Friends reunited
– See all, hear all, say nowt…unless it’s positive
– No win situation?
– It’s nice to hear
– Highs and lows
– Grassroots, Development, Academy…
– Can we play you every week?
– From hero to… well, you know the rest.
– At a crossroads
– It’s all academic
– Trials and paper trails
– Tears and tears
– As one door closes…
– Smart clothes, smart saves
– Finding his feet
– Different teams, same worries
– In the firing line
– Give us a break. (But not too long)
– All keepers are equal. But some are more equal than others.
– Lockdown downtime
– New season, very different preparations
– Enjoy the game. Or not.
– All good things…
– Isolated on the pitch, isolated at home
– The end is in sight (touch wood, fingers crossed)
– A familiar face
– Clean sheets, captaincy and compliments
– Out of the blue (& orange)
– Men on the pitch. Kids in the stand.
– A break in play
– The one constant
– The Clegg Shield
– Just a little bit off the top
– South Yorkshire to South Africa
– Senior moments
